Pilates in the Tuscan sunshine
Tuscany has a beauty all of its own, with its emerald hills, lush vineyards and olive groves, and it benefits from long sunny days well into autumn. This makes it the ideal setting for an autumn health and fitness break, so we've partnered with Flavours Holidays to offer Good Housekeeping readers just that.
We know that doing Pilates is one of your favourite ways to keep supple and in shape, and so we've designed a holiday catering for all ages and abilities. You'll be met at Pisa Airport and then taken by private transfer to one of the beautiful historic Flavours Holidays villas, which have outdoor pools and gorgeous grounds for you to relax in, full of almond and olive trees.
Flavours Holidays has a team of professional Pilates teachers who'll lead daily group classes, as well as a one-to-one session at the villa, with all the equipment you need provided. Pilates classes will be led by experts who teach the Body Control technique, a method of Pilates that helps people get fit and toned. In most classes, you'll be part of a small group and you will also get one-to-one tuition, as well as a personalised programme to take home.
Plus, you'll be treated to healthy, home-cooked Italian food made by excellent local chefs and enjoy dinner at a trattoria on one evening, too. You will also have spare time to explore the local area, with highlights including the Palazzo Pubblico and Siena Cathedral.
This is a great opportunity to improve your core strength and tone your body, as well as relax and make new friends in the Italian sun.
